Update
Work on the West Bank continues at a pace. Already the CRT have discovered and repaired potentially dangerous voids underneath the concrete. Even though this work has caused a large disruption to our sailing calendar, the work is essential and will have many benefits in the long term.
The Mere is still open as usual and it is still possible to walk around the Mere, as far as the work, and back. With the low water all sorts of things have been found, including glasses, parts of boats and mobile phone!
BBQ Beery Theory
Despite being off the water we are still keeping an active calendar. This Sunday we will be having a BBQ Beery Theory session from 4.30pm. Simon will be leading a session on racing tactics and it will be great to get a good conversation going, so no matter how many or how few races you have taken part in, I hope that there will be something for you.
Following the theory we will be firing up the BBQ. This is will be our usual ‘bring your own’ food so come along and take advantage of the company, the beer, and the Mere!
